We are now recruiting for Personal Advisers to work in our Oldham town centre offices. We aim to make a difference to young people's lives; this is your opportunity to help make that happen. CONNEXIONS PERSONAL ADVISERS £19,000 - £28,000 plus benefits. Ref: CXNS/PA/08 As a member of the Community Team, you will work in our centre to deliver a range of services to clients aged 16-19, including: pastoral support; information advice and guidance on education, employment and training opportunities. Through one to one, outreach and partnership working, you will also provide in-depth support for young people at risk of disengagement and integrated, specialist support for those young people with substantial or multiple problems. You will have an NVQ IV (or equivalent) qualification related to work with young people, such as the Diploma in Youth Work, Part 1 of the Qualification in Careers Guidance, Diploma in Social Work or a secondary teaching qualification. You will also have experience of working with young people and other agencies in a variety of settings. Above all, you will be passionate about what you do and have the ability to develop effective relationships on a one to one basis and in a group environment. We would also be willing to take applications from people who are already developing their career in this area but are not yet fully qualified. This means you will have a range of experience of working with young people and the ability to study at level IV.
