London Gateway is the country's largest employment creation project in the UK.We are looking to recruit four new employees to join our team.Operations Development ManagerTo project-manage, lead and direct the planning of terminal operations and establish optimum resources to meet customer demands and contractual obligations. You will need to be educated to degree level with sufficient operational management experience, port experience would be preferable.Trainee Project EngineerReporting to the Senior Manager Technical Compliance, this position is to assist in the management/engineering of a major and complex infrastructure project. This role will provide general assistance and support to a wide range of Engineering Managers with differing expertise and skill sets. Key accountabilities will include advising and/or liaising with project stakeholders and consultants; assisting in the supervision of civil, building works or services contracts; report on contract (or elements of the contract) progress and advise on actions needed to keep the project to the agreed programme; preparing and reviewing documentation for regulatory approvals and contract issue; contract management and administration of minor works. The ideal candidate will be a recently qualified Engineer in civil, mechanical or electrical engineering, highly motivated, flexible and be able to work effectively with others to deliver individual and team goals.Health & Safety OfficerThe essence of this role is to provide expert advice and assistance to management to ensure compliance to Health and Safety legislative requirements and Company policies and procedures. It is essential to have a recognised qualification in the Health and Safety field such as a NEBOSH Diploma (or working towards it) and membership of IOSH, together with a minimum of three years' experience performing the key safety management role with a construction background.Accounts AssistantReporting to Finance Manager the purpose of the role is to control capital expenditure incurred on the London Gateway project by sub-contractors. The key objectives will be to ensure that all commitments are properly authorised and recorded and to control expenditure against budget i.e. the amount, authorised and projected costs.
