Contract: Industry sectors:Public Sector & Social Services REFUGEE INTEGRATION & EMPLOYMENT SERVICE (RIES) CYMRU RIES aims to give all refugees a consistent approach to advice and support regarding integration, employment advice and access to a mentoring service and is provided in Wales for the first time with funding from the UK Borders Agency. A partnership has been developed involving the County Councils of Cardiff and Swansea , The British Red Cross, SOVA, DPIA, WRC and RVW. The partnership is therefore advertising the following post: BRITISH RED CROSS P/T REFUGEE INTEGRATION CASEWORKER (X 2 POSTS) 3 year contract Location: Newport. Salary: £9,500 p.a. 17.5 hrs per week For this role you will have experience of working with vulnerable groups and ideally an understanding of the issues affecting asylum seekers and refugees. You will also have good communication, interpersonal and IT skills, possess the ability to work in high pressure situations and have experience of benefit, housing, education, health & social work systems.
