Contract: Industry sectors:Miscellaneous Job Description Group Handset Buyer 3 Key roles: (i) Manufacturer interface at a Group level - building relationships and business plans with key handset manufacturers (ii) Building handset group deals - ensuring best pricing and product differentiation is achieved across all 10 markets on a quarterly basis. (iii) Ensuring all marketing and volume rebate targets are achieved over the financial year. (iv) Generating new opportunities - identifying gaps within the current cellular product range and working with manufacturers to bring products to market that meet customers needsJob Dimensions: Manufacturer business planning; individual will need to ensure that there is a clear understanding of each manufacturers goals and targets which combine to produce a definitive Group Manufacturer business plan. Group Handset Deals: on a quarterly basis key handsets covering a minimum of 60% of volumes done with each key manufacturer will need to be negotiated and agreed. Financial Targets: Marketing and volume rebates by market need to be achieved through the group deal agreements. Requirements - Key handset agreement from all markets which will drive the Group deal agreements. - Quarterly Group Deals: Agreements with all key manufacturer partners on the key handsets which drive a minimum of 60% of purchases across the Group. - Negotiate Handset differentiation - Build forward visibility of manufacturer handset roadmap - Build forward visibility of manufacturer pricing roadmap - Collaborate with manufacturers to identify key handset opportunities - Understand the customer offers in each market; ensure you have a clear understanding of the network, manufacturer and retail relationship in each market. - Work with the Group Operations Manager and Group Purchasing Co-ordinator to ensure feedback to manufacturers of local country issues is resolved quickly and efficiently - Act as the key interface between local purchasing managers and manufacturer's group teams.- Build relationships with Manufacturers to secure best pricing and differentiaition on a quarterly basisMeasurables1. Increase % handsets delivered through Group deals.2. Increase % of sales delivered from differentiated products3. Achieve group volume rebate targets4. Achieve group marketing rebate targets5. Increase % bought direct from manufacturersGENERAL DUTIESDaily- Act as a Central Point of Contact for the manufacturers- Build handset deal propositions with local handset purchasing teams- Ensure communication of handset deals to all markets is clear- Liase with manufacturers for issue resolution.Weekly- Analysing report on country by country performance and identify poor handset performance- Discussion of trading performance to date with each manufactuer and put corrective plans in place for delivering against targets.- Planning Weekly Activity to increase direct purchases in each market- Identify New Opportunities at a country level and with manufacturers.- Update with Operations manager andpurchasing co-ordinator on all outstanding issues- Identify any competitor pricing discrepanciesMonthly- Negotiate agreements on handset deals with key manufacturers- Review forecast for the month ahead and implement corrective actions where necessary.- Attending Commercial Meetings to seek out all new opportunities- Review performance against rebate targets- Review performance against direct purchasing targets.- Developing Long Term Plans with manufacturers to ensure direct purchases increase profitably.
