Our leakage section, which forms part of the Water Services Business Unit, is a case in point where we are constantly improving the way we detect and repair leaks. Attracting and retaining the right people is essential to our business.As part of the leakage delivery team, you will be required to carry out leak detection resolving difficult leakage issues and work closely with our Detection Contractors. You'll keep a careful eye on effectiveness and resolve any issues connected to both the detection and repair process. We'll also expect you to coordinate our leakage control operations in the field and ensure our monitoring systems are working at optimum levels.For duties like these, you'll require a high level of skills in traditional and advance sounding techniques, leak noise correlation, noise logging, interpretation of flow and pressure data, step testing, and district metering, with knowledge of telemetry systems and GIS. You'll also possess a talent for negotiation. Customer service skills are vital and you should have an aptitude for IT. Some training may be considered for a suitable candidate if they do not satisfy the full criteria. Field based you will report to Pitsford Water Treatment Works but you will ideally live within 25 miles of Northampton.Working a 37 hour week you'll need a flexible approach to working hours, as the flexibility to work evenings, nights and weekends is essential. In addition you'll be required to undertake paid overtime as and when needed.
