Reporting to the Senior Online Marketing Manager, the Online Merchandising Manager will be instrumental in driving growth through the Website and the Esales Team. Responsible for improving site conversion they will deliver incremental sales through focus on the presentation, style and design of the website. By coordinating the activity to promote and advertise the right products and special offers at the right time through online marketing and on the website, they will also be repsonsible for delivering incremental traffic to the site. The Online Merchandising Manger will work to improve the way that the Commercial, Online Marketing and Web Team work together to ultimately improve the conversion rate from research to sale by delivering a more cohesive shopping experience. To achieve these objectives the Online Merchandising Manager will focus on four different activities; merchandise planning, site display and presentation, understanding customer shopping routes and merchandising KPI tracking. Merchandise planning will be to bring the Commercial, Marketing and Web Teams together to agree and implement on a monthly Merchandise Plan & Calendar to drive incremental traffic to the site by agreeing on a plan to promote specific offers and products through online marketing and on the site. Focusing on site display and presentation the online Merchandising manager will work to improve site conversion by improving the way in which products are presented and promoted to customer when they reach the site. By looking at customer shopping routes through the site and understanding merchandising analytics the Online Merchandising Manger will focus on the way that customers move through the site and where the highest drop out rates are experienced. Specifically, the will improve the overall site conversion rate by measuring traffic (whether paid for or non paid for) impressions, clicks, shopping basket placements and sales and then understanding where a sub optimal customer experience is driving up the drop out rate. By creating a clear promotional strategy in the Merchandise Plan & Calendar and improving site display and presentation they will seek to address these problems and decrease the drop out rate and ultimately improve the conversion rate. Requirements Experience of working in an Online Merchandising function. The Individual This is a pivotal role in a changing team.
