The Verne Portland Band 5 £20,225 - £26,123 pa plus prison environmental allowance £1,446 pa 37.5 hours per week, Permanent We are seeking highly motivated and committed Staff Nurses (RMN & RGN) for this challenging and innovative environment. You must be able to work in a multi-disciplinary team and be able to deliver a holistic package of care to patients within the prison system. You will be required to manage the assessment of health needs, planning, delivery and evaluation of care for the prison population of around 600 aged from 25 upwards. This will be achieved through the clinics we currently run for long term conditions such as Diabetes, Asthma, CHD, Primary Care Mental Health and many more. There will be a chance to develop your nursing skills through the many different learning opportunities we experience in HMP The Verne and the chance to attend courses facilitated by the PCT. An informal visit to the Healthcare Unit will be arranged, prior to interview. In addition to the above vacancies, there are also opportunities at HMP Guys Marsh in Shaftesbury.
