Contract: Industry sectors:Accountancy Job Description To successfully manage the requirements on medium to large sized projects from identification through to implementation in accordance with the CPW Project Methodology. To evaluate the feasibility of Business ideas to assess their potential contribution to EBIT and impact on the Performance of the organisation. Responsibilities Works with senior Business representatives in drawing up requirements specifications, conducting feasibility studies, producing high level and detailed models, overseeing development and implementing solutions. Allocates tasks within this area to more junior analysis staff as required and takes full responsibility for their work Takes full responsibility for solutions for a significant or crucial segment of CPW where advice and decisions will have a measurable bearing on the profitability or effectiveness of the organisation Recognises opportunities for business or valid applications across a very broad front and shows ability to take action and exploit such opportunities Guides senior management towards accepting change brought about through Projects and Programmes, showing understanding, imagination and creativity Owns End to End Requirements on Major Pieces of Change Writes and speaks fluently on all aspects of work and communicates effectively with all levels of management and in public forums The Individual Business Analyst Skills - Acquiring understanding of a problem or situation by breaking it down systematically into its component parts, ensuring nothing is overlooked, and identifying the relationships between these parts (using techniques such as analysis, eliciting requirements, estimating and scope change management). Identifying options and recommending a solution. Tools - Delivering best use of available tools and Methodologies (such as Project Gates, Waterfall, Agile, DSDM) to achieve effective solution delivery. Strategic Perspective - Participating in and being aware of strategic goals and impact as part of project delivery. Understanding the hierarchy, decision-making and culture of own, customer and supplier organisations and being able to identify the decision makers and influencers. Industry Knowledge - Ensuring that project deliverables are fit for purpose and delivered to meet customer expectations using agreed quality plans, project level controls and assurance. This also includes taking into account regulatory and legal environment and industry wide practices (e.g. FSA, DPA, OfCom, ITIL, DDA). Decision-Making - Taking ownership to analyse and resolve problems proactively by making appropriate decisions, taking into account the needs of the situation, priorities, constraints and the availability of necessary information Adaptability - Taking account of new information or changed circumstances and modifying understanding of a problem or situation then taking the appropriate course of action. Planning and Organising - Retaining objectivity and clear understanding of problems and situations when faced with time pressure and determining an achievable course of action by breaking it down into smaller steps. This will be done by planning these steps, making appropriate allowance for the level of risk. This includes time management, estimating and planning, change management (scope), accurate control, and reporting of progress Communication - Able to identify, manage and communicate effectively with all stakeholders by influencing and persuading them to take a specific course of action. Able to listen actively and express ideas and facts in a clear and confident manner both verbally and non-verbally. This includes reporting, presentation skills, meeting management, facilitation and negotiation. Collaborating, developing and mentoring others - Working collaboratively to help and support colleagues to understand their values, needs, goals and limitations and coaching them how they can develop their effectiveness and reach their full potentialQualificationsProbably educated to degree levelHas considerable experience in the Retail business sectorHas achieved proficiency in the Role of Business analysis - Level II or SimilarIs highly experienced in communicating with clients at all levels, singly and in groups.
