Contract: Industry sectors:Accountancy Job Description Graduate role with a view to developing an individual through experience and their studies. Primarily responsible for accounting for monthly operational expenses including electricity, telephone expenses and property expenses.The role encompasses month end accounting, reconciliation work and provision of support to the local finance team in Spain. The candidate will be expected to carry out other management accounting duties as required.To complete the month end process ensuring that monthly accounts are completed within agreed timescales and are accurate. Responsibilities: To ensure operating expenses are correctly accounted for at all timesKey liaison with finance function in MadridProvide monthly reconciliation's for all expenses and accrualsTo monitor and control property costs by liasing with the local property managerPreparing accruals and balance sheet reconciliation'sKey member of the management accounting team, providing cover to other areas of the team when necessaryProcess improvement and maintaining and improving procedure documentation Responsibilities Technical Activities:Bookkeeping - double entry etc.Knowledge of accruals and prepaymentsMS Excel & MS Access to intermediate levelProcess improvementsFull training for CIMA or ACCA professional qualificationThere is potential for progression to other areas of accounting within the team depending on experience and ability. Once the jobholder has been selected and reached a good level of capability more responsibility for varied areas of accounting will be allocated to him/her. For example, there is potential for the role to expand to include areas such as fixed asset accounting.
