Requirements: Our client is looking for an Archivist/Facilities Assistant. Based in the Central London Head Office, you will need to be hands on and happy to take on various tasks. Ideally you will have previous experience especially in the areas of mechanical and electrical equipment, such as Air Conditioning units, lighting, and lifts etc, as you will need to deal with the company suppliers in these areas, so an understanding of the specifics is essential. You will also be responsible for escorting suppliers around the building issuing various health and safety permits. On the archiving side of the role the client uses a system called Customer Relationship Manager and Propware; training will be given if you have not used either of these systems This role will require a 7.30am start and you will work a 37.5 hour week (7.5 hr working day). The candidate needs to be fit, extremely organised, work under pressure, have good team/social skills, a clear effective communicator and be able to multi task. This role is being offered as a Temp to Perm (after 3 months) and the salary on a permanent basis will be �23,000 to �25,000 and �11 per hour on the temporary basis

The post-holder is responsible for ensuring the high production values of publications and websites. This is a temporary position for up to 3 months. Main duties and responsibilities: 1. Technical expertise: Oversee the production schedules of all publications/online projects to meet internal and external deadlines. Quality control over production process, ensuring house style is adhered to. Regular maintenance, updating and technical development of website, working with external providers if necessary. Archive new publications digitally on the office server, and online in the website archive and shop Negotiate contracts with printers, designers, typesetters and other suppliers. Co-ordinate the design, typesetting, proofing and printing of all published materials including reports, briefings leaflets, e-bulletin, annual report, promotional and publicity materials and ad hoc publications, Typesetting of briefing papers and other ad hoc short published material. External suppliers for most above activities Person Spec: Essential: � Experience of website development including updating and maintaining websites; first-hand knowledge of website design software and html coding � Experience of content management systems � Experience of electronic publishing & knowledge of databases � Typesetting/design skills (such as knowledge of QuarkXPress and Adobe Photoshop) � Experience of design, typesetting and printing processes. � Experience of work in the publishing industry or of publishing within the NGO sector � To be able to work as part of a team, and on own initiative, providing innovative and creative solutions to problems. � Ability to deliver high quality work to deadlines and within budget. � Ability to work under pressure and manage several tasks simultaneously.
