Contract: Industry sectors:Marketing, PR & AdvertisingSocial Care & Health Housing & Community Regeneration COMMUNITY FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT OFFICER (Hattersley Neighbourhood Partnership) Initially until End of October 2009 Scale 4 - £16,536 to £18,430 per annum (pay award pending) 36 Hours per week Hattersley Neighbourhood Partnership aims to improve the quality of life and standard of living for local people by working closely with residents and service providers to make facilities in Hattersley more responsive and accountable to the needs of local communities. Funding has recently been secured to allow for new football facilities to be available in Hattersley and for a Community Football Development Officer to be recruited. You will work as part of a team in developing the use of the new "state of the art" football facilities on the Pinfold Playing Fields site. This will include implementing of policies and procedures and marketing the facilities within the local community and beyond to ensure that the facility is effective and widely used. This will include the ongoing development of Hattersley Football Club and the wider football infrastructure within the local community. You will need a minimum of 1st for Sport Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Football and an understanding of the current FA football development activities would also be desirable. Strong organisational skills are essential. In addition you must have the ability to communicate effectively and engage with a wide range of agencies and community members. You will need a good working knowledge of various I.T packages along with the ability and willingness to work flexibly and meet deadlines.
