Contract: Industry sectors:Accountancy Job Description The Supply Chain Department is responsible for the overall flow of stock from source to sale. The Supply Planner will focus on the optimal allocation of stock to all sales channels within the company through management of agreed supply quantities into the warehouse. The candidate for the role will possess strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast moving environment. The role will involve working closely with the Demand Planner to understand allocation requirements, suppliers to manage the intake volumes and scheduling, and with the warehouse team to ensure requirements can be met. Requirements Production of daily availability reports and other KPI measurements.Raising purchase orders for volumes agreed between the demand planner and trading.Contact with suppliers to ensure agreed quantities arrive into the warehouse at an agreed slot.Oversee the movement of overstocked items in stores to other areas.Ensure ranging requirements are set up on the system.Produce reports and analyse the data to identify and implement stock control improvements.Ensure all tasks are planned and actioned to an agreed deadline and follow up on task owners to ensure deadlines are met.To review on a weekly basis with the line manager all live tasks and issues.Proritise personal actions to make sure that your time is managed effectively and deadlines are met.Develop reports to detail areas of improvement for the supply chain and propose methods of improvement.Inform sales channels of stock issues or actions using appropriate media.Production of a daily availability report.Report weekly into Demand Planner of KPI's.Create relationships with key departments within the business to ensure completion of project tasks.Liaise with suppliers to arrange booking in slots and to ensure deliveries come in on time.Regular contact with the warehouse to communicate activity and to inform of exceptional workload requirements.
